Hutchison vs Hutchinson
« on: Thursday 26 October 23 04:32 BST (UK) »
Hello there! I was curious, if there is anyone with the name 'Hutchison' who is unable to trace it back to Scotland (making it English). I was under the impression that Hutchison is almost the exclusively Scottish equivalent of the English name that includes an 'N'. I know that Hutchinson is also far more common in Northern England than down south, whereby Hutchins/Hitchens are the common equivalents.
