Bromsgrove Messenger at the Hive
« on: Saturday 28 October 23 15:49 BST (UK) »
Hello,

If anyone is going to the Hive, Worcester and wouldn't mind looking through say 4 or 5 issues of the Bromsgrove Messenger, I would be very grateful.

I have a start date of 2 May 1949 and am looking for a divorce which may well have made it into the local newspaper.  I do have the names of the people involved which I would be happy to send by PM if anyone can help.

The Bromsgrove Messenger was published weekly and I imagine given it's not long after the War there wouldn't be too many pages in each issue.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Lisa

Hi Lisa
Looking at the Index to Newspapers on microfilm on the Archive website there is a large gap for the Bromsgrove Messenger between 30 December 1939 (Film 78) and 25 January 1970 (Film 79).
It might be worth checking if the Archives have any actual Bromsgrove Messenger newspapers for the period you want.
Regards
Jack

update - that year is available on microfilm at Bromsgrove library, I haven't checked with the hive yet.
