Hi,  I am trying to find what happened to Jane Paice, baptised on 5 June 1824 in Yateley.  Her parents were William and Ann Paice (nee Hood).
https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/62422/images/62422_373055000119_0323-00087?_gl=1*1i89g7o*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTU3MTQ4NDM1Ni4xNjk4NjczMTEy*_ga_4QT8FMEX30*Y2U5OTRlYTQtY2UwMi00ZDYzLWFjNGQtOWI5OGZiNmYyNmUwLjEuMC4xNjk4NjczNzgwLjAuMC4w*_ga_LMK6K2LSJH*Y2U5OTRlYTQtY2UwMi00ZDYzLWFjNGQtOWI5OGZiNmYyNmUwLjEuMC4xNjk4NjczNzgwLjAuMC4w&pId=286350

In 1841 she is living with her parents and some siblings at Minley Farm, Minley, Hampshire

In 1851 she is living with her widowed mother Ann in Windlesham

https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/8978/images/HAMHO107_394_396-0197?_gl=1*qgfqis*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTU3MTQ4NDM1Ni4xNjk4NjczMTEy*_ga_4QT8FMEX30*Y2U5OTRlYTQtY2UwMi00ZDYzLWFjNGQtOWI5OGZiNmYyNmUwLjEuMC4xNjk4NjczODQwLjAuMC4w*_ga_LMK6K2LSJH*Y2U5OTRlYTQtY2UwMi00ZDYzLWFjNGQtOWI5OGZiNmYyNmUwLjEuMC4xNjk4NjczODQwLjAuMC4w&pId=5002557

Thereafter the trail gets cold.   I thought she might have married James Mansfield Houlton in Windsor in 1851 but it was a false trail as he married Jane Pain, the third daughter of William Pain Esq of Hill House Farm, Bagshot according to an annoucement in the Windsor and Eton Express on 14 June 1851.

As yet I haven't found any sign of a death record or a marriage record....can anyone help?

TIA Ellenmaggie

Have you discounted Jane Halton/ Houlton with husband James in Windlesham 1861, not seen a marriage yet

I see that is the one you have disregarded

Reading Mercury of 14th June 1851 has Jane as third daughter of late William Paice

Thanks for all the answers - the reason for discounting the Houltons was the newspaper article and the references to "third daughter" and "Hill House Farm".   I believe Jane was the eleventh child of William and Anne Paice and their ninth daughter.   William lived in Yateley from at least his marriage in 1802 to Ann Hood - he died on 9th January 1850 and is buried in Yateley, Hampshire.   The newspaper announcement reads "On 1st inst Mr James Houlton, of Bagshot, Surrey to Jane, third daughter of of the late Mr William Pain Esquire of Hill House Farm, Bagshot. "   So either some one misread "ninth" as "third" and of course Bagshot is close to Windlesham and possibly interchangeable as the farm could be on the periphery of both places.

The 1851 Census shows Jane living with her mother Ann aged 69, a widow (so "the late Mr William Pain Esq. would be correct) and brother George (36) and grandson (6) .   Ann is a farmer of 120 acres and employing 4 labourers.   The address is the Turnpike Road, Windlesham - maybe this is Hill House Farm.  In which case Jane Paice marrying James Mansfield Houlton in Windsor in 1st June 1851 is probably the one I am looking for.

Thank you.

Futher evidence that Jane Paice did marry James Mansfield Houlton - and advert selling farm stock from Hill House Farm near Bagshot in the Windsor and Eton Express - September 6th 1851 - instructions from Mrs Ham Paice - they got the first name wrong, but fortunately got the second correct.
