Person who would always k ow him was Mr George Jenkins 913 Locust Street, Braddock. PA.

Employer was Carnegie Illinois Steel Co.  Braddock. Allegheny.

This was George Jenkins (who knew Garfield Jenkins on his WW2 Draft) -  the 1940 census - 913 1/2 North Braddock, Allegheny, Pennsylvania

George E Jenkins 38 Born England. Switch Operator at Steel Co.
Clara Jenkins   41 Born England.
Raymond Jenkins 14 Born PA.
Jean Jenkins   12 Born PA.
Clara Mae Jenkins   10 Born PA.

This would be the George Edwin Jenkins born 7 Sept 1902 - Mousehole, Cornwall
died 8 June 1980 - Braddock, Allegheny, Pennsylvania.
Also a son of William Jenkins and Jane Harvey.

Buried in the same cemetery as Garfield

Many thanks Sandra on all this new info . It is so kind of you to research this for me . I now have more of an understanding of the Jenkins Family in the US . Funny enough my 2nd Cousin lived in Pennsylvania for his childhood . So I can update him with all this news . It seems many in the UK emigrated to the US in the early 1900s. More opportunities and a better lifestyle ( hope so anyway) once again thanks for your contributions here . Best wishes.
