I've found nothing from my Bristol books regarding Thomas William Hill . The news articles kindly shown here lead me to ( via Freebmd ) T.W.H 85 y d . Clifton 6a 44  Mar 1/4 1874 .
I can only believe he was working in the circles of Merc . Venturers to obtain the land for the Almshouse through their society , but would love to know his role in the city...shipping  ?  Any ideas ?
