Ernest William Leeder b 1888
« on: Thursday 02 November 23 12:01 GMT (UK) »
Folks,
This man is not part of an ancestral tree so i have nothing to establish if he is mine..
He is the son of Fred and Eliza, born in Tydd St Giles,Cambridgeshire.
1891 he is in Tydd St Mary,Lincolnshire.
1901 and 1911 he is in Farcet,Huntingdonshire.
All entries he is living with his parents.
In October Qtr 1917 he marries Emma Rosina Loweth in Peterborough RD.
Emma dies in 1930.
There is another Ernest William Leeder b 1891 in Great Yarmouth but he appears in 1939 register with a wife he married in 1916.
There is a death for an Ernest in 1959 registered in March RD but no will is found.
I can find no children registered to this couple.
Ant thoughts?
Eric.

Ernest bn 1888 is with Rosina and her parents after they married.  I cannot see any evidence of them having children.  I am not sure what you are trying to establish, that death in 1959 ties in with his age.

There is an entry in 1939 that could originally have been entered wrongly using his middle name as a surname if it is him  :-\

Emma Rosina Leeder is on the 1921 census, in Farcet, with her parents and husband, Ernest, as mentioned.

There is an acknowledgement, following her death, in the Peterborough Standard of 1st August 1930, by Ernest and her father, with an address of Tedworth Houses, Farcet.

Another, on 25th July 1930, gives her death as 22nd July 1930, funeral today. No mournung by request.

There is also an article in the Peterborough Standard on 11th August 1939
"Mr Ernest Leeder, of Conquest Farm
Mystery surronds the absence of well-known Farcet smallholder, Mr. Ernest Leeder, who has been missing from his home, since July 25th."
Mentions that he was in partnership with his brothers.
Last seen in Peterborough on that day, having caught the 11.40 bus
Possible sighting of being given a lift by a fertilser merchant, but not confirmed.

In the 1939 Register, there is a Leeds (Leeder) family at Conquest Farm, presumably his brother, but no Ernest.
