KEREN CHAMBERS baptism entry in the Yoxford registers approx 1785

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to find out under what Christian name Keren Chambers was baptised at Yoxford in about 1785. Later in life, she is recorded as having the Christian name Kerenhappuch which might have been derived from this name "Keren Hope Chambers Ashford."

I would just like to know what her entry in the baptismal register says and, of course, I don't have access to that record. Thank you for any assistance in this matter.

Kerenhappuch is a biblical name, one of the daughters of Job.

I don't have access to the original either, however her mother's name was Keziah - another of the daughters of Job.

I have the transcripts from the Suffolk FHS -

Yoxford - St.Peter and the record says;

bapt. 27-2-1785  Karenhapuch d/o Robert & Kezia (late Smith)
(There were about 3 other baptisms in Yoxford to this couple but none have unusual first names)
