Apparently Edith's father was a Dr during WWII.

The information she has is wrong. Dr Frederick James Fletcher is in my FT and is correct, he married Doris Nettleton. I let her know

Any information at all on when Edith's father became a Doctor?

Couldn't find a baptism for Frederick but his middle name is Arthur

It looks as if he can be ruled out due to his middle name and I can't see a daughter named Edith Ann born to this couple, his occupation in 1921/1939 is not a Doctor???

Have you tried searching the 1939 register for an Edith Fletcher or Edith Annie Fletcher occ nurse to see if there is a match?

Good morning All,
Sorry for the slight delay in my reply, the lady i was helping in the USA has now deleted her FT which was mostly wrong but with your help she has the correct people she was trying to find.

Unfortunately, these things happened during WW II but i know that Edith took the twins to see their father over in Canada and their father passed on the information about the twins to his family in Canada and Edith was in contact with the family in Canada until she passed away.

The Dr Fletcher was the one in my FT, which is the wrong one for the lady in the USA, this is why i contacted her to say she had the wrong people in her FT. I agreed to help her find the correct people, but she has now deleted her FT regarding the Fletcher's.

I will close this one down in a couple of days and will delete if i can, just to protect various family just in case they do not know about this.
