Emily RAwlings ( mdn Osborne)

Emily Osborne was born July 1874 in Merriott Somerset, she married Joseph William Rawlings 1892 in Islington,  where they continued to live, and had three sons William, Alfred and Charles.
I have found all about them except the mystery of Emily who seems to disappear around 1932 when she last appears on Elect regs with Joseph her husband and others. After that no sign of her , in 1939 Elect reg Joseph states he is a widower. He died in 1942 Islington. Please can anyone shed any light on what happened to Emily? I have searched for any other marriages and or deaths but came up with zero that would fit. I spoke about 8 yrs ago to Joseph and Emily's  grandson who was abt 8yrs old at time of her disappearance, and has now passed, but he couldn't remember much about her.

It looks as though Joseph William was buried with lots of other people so no help there.  People sometimes continued to be shown on electoral registers after their death or them moving out so you may need to search outside your dates

They lived at the same address for many years,  can you inquire at the cemetery where Joseph is buried to see if they have Emily as well?

Thank you for your interest amondg, this was tried by their grandson many years ago without success, strangely he couldn't find a death that would fit her, neither can I but she has to be there somewhere.

Where were her children living between 1921 and 1939

Eldest son William died in 1919.
Below all I have managed to find on the other two.
Alfred Edward - 1921 Grove Rd Islington with his new wife.
 1926 A possible siting of him minus wife in Stoke Newington with another lodger at a residence his dec. grandfather had.
1932 Thane Mansions Islington with wife.
1934-5 Digby Rd Stoke Newington "
1936-9 Lister Garden Enfield          "
Believed to have seperated and by 1942-4 lived Highbridge st, Waltham Abbey Essex ( confirmed by his nephew). Died 1944.
Charles Albert was with Joseph and Emily 1921 at 58 Barnsbury Rd Islington.
1939 Lived Ingleby Rd Islington with wife and son. Not found in between 1921-1939 so far.

It was his son b.1924 who searched for Emily for years having only a foggy memory of her in early 1930s and no idea  what happened to her.
