... at Norcott, Bycliffe, Taplow, Bolton Abbey and Ascot

I have in my possession two small photo albums dated around 1916 with these and other names (the owner only labelled herself 'myself' so I don't know who she was). They are nothing to do with my family, my brother has had them for years and has no idea where he got them - possibly while collecting items for a Scout jumble sale?

Also featured: Susan, Miss Green, Madeline, Mrs O, Jack, Mrs Elison, Jumbo, Monica, Olive, Owen, Aunt Fanny, Natalie, Kurt & Elsa, Sybil, Joan Tomblin/Tombleu (violin/viola?), Maggie, Betty, Uncle Arthur, Edith, Miss Fletcher, Miss Carr, Mr Simpson and a dog called Sam.

I just wondered if any of the combinations of names ring any bells for someone? I have found the names Ernest Thurgood and Fraser Sheard in list of WW1 casualties, but nothing else.
