I recently came across a picture of my x3 great grandparents, with a short annotation at the bottom of a photocopy, it read "and a granddaughter who Ted (who's in the photo) was about to take to see her father in New Zealand. He (Tom) and his wife had split up and he emigrated and sent for his two daughters". The photograph was supposedly taken in 1921, so I can only assume that Tom was in New Zealand at that point.
I was hoping that if given some information any users could take a look for any information regarding these individuals? (I don't have access to NZ records)
The person in question is "Thomas Jones" born in Grendon, Warwickshire, England in 1885/86 (his baptism was 17 Jan 1886). He married "Flossie Ethel Shufflebotham" on 14th April 1908 in Grendon. In 1908 his daughter Ethel Ruth Jones was born, in 1909 his daughter Katie (Catherine?) Adeline Jones was born. In 1911 he is still living in Warwickshire, England with his wife and two children. That's the last I know anything about Tom, Ethel and Katie. Flossie is living with her brother in 1921, further supporting the annotation that they had split up. So any emigration must have happened between 1911 and 1921.
