  I don't think you can get the names corrected, as the original is written Luff. I read the original for his sister as Alliss, so that is also correctly transcribed.

Okay... thanks.

I would like to compare signatures for William Welsh marriage on 10th June 1805 St Martin Canterbury to Sarah Monds.  Has anyone an original copy of marriage so I can view his signature.

I have deleted the original attachment, and now include a slightly larger one to add Edward Welsh's signature.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Really appreciated.  They both signed 'Welsh' and not 'Welch'.   Would have liked his full christian name instead of Wm.  Tks heaps.

And it is Mary Fagg.  A well established name in the area (apparently).

  Fagg is indeed a well established name in East Kent, which is now unfortunately falling victim to jokes. A friend of my son is giving his daughters the option of using their mother's name.
