Journal from the 1800s written mostly in Swedish

I need help deciphering and translating some pages from my 2x great-grandfather's journal. Carl Gustaf Johansson was born in Sweden in 1852 and immigrated to the USA in 1879 settling in Kansas, then later moved to Oklahoma in 1889.

Hi and welcome to RootsChat.
Interesting read. It looked gibberish at first trying to make head or tails of it all. I think it is his way of trying to learn/communicate in English. His written Swedish is oddly spelt as if it is anglicised in some way or he just couldn't spell.

The first image at the top says:
"The America Journey from Stockholm to Gothenburg"

The second paragraph:
To be honest I just cannot understand what he has written.

Third paragraph:
I want
We want
You want
Day pay
A ?
A horse?

The text to the right is pronounciation help I think.

This topic could be of interest to other people with Swedish origins . After the decipherers have had a go  it could be transferred to a foreign countries forum .

Some of the sentences remind me of Norwegian dialects .

Ting m egg ....in margin of first document could be " things with me "
But that doesn't make sense with  " I want .you want etc "

Third image:
None of this makes sense to us but to him it does. It is pretty hard to read and translate.
Maybe he worked as a blacksmith............ caustic soda, blasting etc

for only behaviour either
incorrect English
first dip finger in ? caustic soda
? blasting and then lubricate

He was a farmer in 1900.

I did wonder if it was mixed with English.

I don't know much about him before he came to the USA. The earliest record I have found is a Kansas state census record from 1885, where his occupation was listed as a stone mason and he owned the farm he and his wife lived on.

Here's a couple more pages, since I couldn't add more than four the first time. I think several pages are addresses and the one seems to be about his trip to America.
