Is Elizabeth Ann Cowan the daughter of Jane Burns nee' McC**. If so when did Elizabeth marry and what details do the marriage cert offer.

SS

added, I can see your problem, the only time this ms appears is on Elizabeth's death cert. She married 1865 to Samuel Cowan in Newry, Down. Her father William Burns & Jane?

Looks a bit like McCruon .
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Thank you both for your replies
Yes that’s the same Elizabeth Ann Burns ,

Would  McCruon be a fairly popular surname in Ireland / Newry?.

Thanks again

Would it be possible to put up more of the cert?  I'm not sure whether the letter after the C is an r  or not.

Have you checked out her headstone at the cemetery. In Scotland women have their  maiden name on that. Also any marriage certificate from one of  her children would have their mothers maiden name too. You may find it used as a middle name too  in the family. Might be clearer to read.
