Mother of Thomas DREW, 1692

Thomas DREW was baptized on 24 Oct 1692 in Bosbury to John & Anne. A search for their marriage has produced:-

27 Jan  1681  John DREW to Ann SMYTH  in Much Marcle    (7.3 Miles)
15 Sep 1685 John DREW to Anne BLAKEWAY  in Goodrich  (16.7 miles)

The only contemporary DREW baptisms to John & Ann within 20 miles are:-

22 Dec 1688  John  in Bosbury
24 Oct 1692  Thomas  in Bosbury

To which marriage  can I attribute these baptisms?

I have not found a relevant burial of an Ann DREW in the locality.

Any help would be appreciated.

Two thoughts:

1.  Have you checked Bishop's Transcripts as well as the parish registers?

2.  Bosbury is on the border with Worcestershire.

I've searched on FindMyPast which, I thought, included BT's.

My geographical search covers a 20-mile radius, regardless of county boundaries

According to the website The Wills of Herefordshire, Joseph Hill of Bromyard, in his will (25 Jan. 1691) mentions his "daughter Anne now wife of John Drew of Bosbury and her children;"

That could mean that John Drew of Bosbury married an Anne Hill, unless she had previously been married.

The will of Agatha Hill (1709), widow of Joseph, gives similar information, and was witnessed by John Drew.

Additional note:  It is clear that John Drew married Anne the daughter of Joseph Hill of Bromyard.  I would feel inclined to double-check the Bromyard marriage register and B.T.s, in case a marriage to Anne Hill can be found.

FindMyPast says that Ann Hill married John Drewe at Canon Frome, St James, 9 May 1687.

Bosbury and Canon Frome are neighbours, and the date is perfect, so this has to be what I'm seeking.

I will leave it with you to decide if the tree is correct - no way of knowing unless you can find the marriage of John Drew and Ann Hill ?  no birthplace for Ann Hill - was it outside Herefordshire ? and she married outside Herefordshire - her father being a Reverand - he would move from church to church

according to the tree Ann (Hill ) Drew died 1716 in Bromyard ,Herefordshire
