He was fighting at Ypres when he was wounded. As a result of his wounds, he was treated at:-

12.11.14 -- 7 Clg. Poperinghe -- i.e. received initial treatment at Poperinghe by a detachment of the 7th Casualty Clearing Station (7th CCS was based at Blendecques)

13.11.14 -- 5 Clg. Hazebrouck -- i.e. transferred for further treatment and assessment

15.11.14 -- remarks column shows A36 7254 df 15 11/14 a decision to transfer him to the UK

17.11.14 -- Admiited to Southport Royal Infirmary
