I dont think she would leave her children.

She might in 2 scenarios - she married someone, or she went into another domestic service position.

Im still trying to find what happened to Alice (the mother). Based on a death cert she died before 1917
More information needed about the death certificate.?


I have found it odd that even after Maria was deceased, Craven and Alice still did not marry.
Even after having four children together.

Sarah Craven married Ellias Gibb in 1917 in Ayr. Her father listed as Alfred and mother as Alice Taylor (deceased)

Also interesting that Alfred already had a daughter Alice.
She was Amelia Alice - born in Ireland in 1876
