It looks as though John Thomas McDermott has emigrated?? to New Zealand and met Rose A F GREAVES and had one son with her in 1911. 

You would expect him to be on the census with wife/Father/daughters wouldn't you.  Strange.  Many thanks Dianna

I think that Marjorie has been recorded with Ada as mum (incorrect) therefore she is the second child born to John T and Rose!

I couldn't find any other children born in NZ only the one that you found wivenhoe.  Yes what about Arnold??? Haven't look for him as yet.
