Ellen Taylor 1812 & John Lester 1811
« on: Monday 13 November 23 00:06 GMT (UK) »
I'm trying to find information relating to my great great grandparents. Ellen Taylor was born in 1812 in Walsall and John Lester was born in 1811 in Lichfield.
I think Ellen died in 1878 but I don't have a death date for John. This would be helpful as would the names of their parents.
Any help gratefully received.

I think it is possible he lied on his M/C and was actually bapt 24 Mar. 1811, Saint Chad,Lichfield,
Mother SARAH

A Sarah LESTER married Charles DOYLE 1 Jan 1821 St Chad.

1851 Sarah Doyle is born c 1791 Lathford, Staffordshire. (as transcribed on Anc.)
Living in Lambeth, Surrey

Charles Doyle 58 Head Mar Retired Brushmaker born Ireland
Sarah Doyle 60   Wife Mar
Elizabeth Doyle 26 Daughter born Lackfield, Staffordshire
Mary A Doyle 14 Daughter born Sheffield, Yorkshire

1841 in Sheffield, Yorks;
Charles Doyle 45 Brush Maker
Sarah Doyle 50
Elizabeth Doyle 15
Mary Monk 4

So did John use his step fathers name Charles on his M/C?
