Gloria was on a ship to Singapore in Nov. 1955 with two of her children, one of whom was Gerald Kenneth Broadhead b. 12 May 1953.  Sadly, he appeared to have passed away in 1981.

He arrived via plane in Seattle, Washington on 28 May 1962 under his mother's passport.

Ok, I’ve seen the obituary now. I somehow missed it. It seems that My relative made an assumption on his fathers father. He seemed to think his father was the illegitimate child of Margaret and one of the Newland family in Newport where she was a maid but as we’ve now seen on here his father was also John Charles Jones. I’ve looked on freebmd and seen there was a birth of that name in Newport in 1875. Can anyone expand on this please, Phil.
