Have you found her on the 1851 or subsequent censuses - what birthplace is shown?

1851 has 2 possibilities - b 1793 & b 1795

Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Have you contacted the tree owner to find where that info came from?  There is no Mary Barrett on the 1851 or 1861 census with that birthplace

Numerous trees are badly researched and assumptions made - best to do your own research using the info you know to be correct

I have recently seen 2 trees on Ancestry - one had a child baptised 4 yrs before it was born and another had a child born to parents at a time when the alleged mother was almost 60yrs old!!

John Barrett married Mary Taylor 20 October 1817 Barnsley Yorkshire.

Witness John Lofthouse and George Ellison.

I can only find three children (so far)father was a weaver

Joseph Barrett bap. 30 August 1818
Marianne Barrett  bap. 27 April 1826
John Barret  bap 6 September 1829

A better board for this would be the West Riding which is where Barnsley was at the relevant time. No such place as South Yorkshire for our ancestors.
No one with interests in Barnsley would be looking at posts on this North Riding board.
