With names like those, she could perhaps have been from Ireland, which might explain why you are having difficulty finding her.

Assuming that she was married in Scotland her marriage certificate should tell you what her mother's maiden surname was.

And assuming that she was in Scotland the 1891 or later census will tell you where she was born.

Assuming that she died in Scotland her death certificate should also tell you her mother's maiden name.

All these documents are available at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk at modest cost.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

You can download marriage record from Scotlands People.
If you already have it, what parent names and occupation do you see?

The census shows that both Annie and Hugh were born in Ireland

What age is she when she married?
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)

Do you have her marriage certificate, and at least one census with her on it?

If so, what do they tell you?

If not, getting those is your next step.

And BTW Ancestry will not have what you are looking for unless someone else has been researching her.

Hi Mags

Looks like there is a likely sister, Helen, who died in 1907 in Camlachie, like Annie:

HELEN GLEN
Age 39
Mother's maiden name HEALY
1907
Ref 644 / 2 / 396
Camlachie

Possible entry for Helen with siblings in 1901?:

James Glen 20 head mason b. Ireland
George Glen 22 brother mason b. Glasgow
Patrick Glen 20 brother bricklayer b. Glasgow
Mary Ann Glen 34 sister housekeeper b. Ireland
Helen Glen 31 sister tailoress b. Glasgow
Elizabeth Glen 18 sister Underclothing Machinist b. Glasgow

Address 27 Cameron St, Glasgow/Kelvin

I would start with checking Helen's death reg in 1907 to confirm her details first.

Monica

Added: The family in 1901 do show in Scotland from 1881, but parents showing as a George and Helen. So, as mentioned, if you, I would have a look at Helen's death reg in 1907.

Her parents were Patrick Glenn and Mary MacCallum or Mary Healy.

Was Healy Mary's maiden name and MacCallum from a remarriage or first marriage? Were parents showing as alive or deceased when Annie married in 1888?

What were the names of the witnesses when Annie married?

Questions, questions... ;)
