Yeah, I have found that not all sources are helpful for the people in Kildalkey.  :-\

I use Ancestry for immigration and court records, Family Search primarily for workhouse records, and Roots Ireland for the baptisms, marriages, and deaths prior to civil registration -- for the Kildalkey records particularly. It's always nice when the census records help too, especially for those who were born prior to civil registration.

Have you checked Godparents for any possible relationships?

Yes, although I haven’t found that incredibly helpful either.
