Looking for Martha
« on: Saturday 18 November 23 11:35 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am trying to find out what happened to Martha Pemberton who married John Feast on 21 June 1773 at Cottenham, Cambridgeshire, She was the only daughter of William Pemberton (1705-1782) and Katherine Gautrey (1713-1774), and was born 22 Feb 1753 also at Cottenham, I believe her husband John Feast was from Streetham, Cambridgeshire according to the marriage listings.

John and Martha had one son, William Pemberton Feast  born at Cottenham in 1776, I think he married Sarah Flaxon at Cambridge in 1797 and died there in 1822.

The missing part of my puzzle is obtaining any detailed information regarding Martha and her husband John.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Alan

Hi,

Thank you so much - I could not find anything on Ancestry or Free Reg so am indebted to you.

Any ideas about her husband John Feast (birth and/or death) - presumably at Stretham?

John may have been the widowed John Feast who married Elizabeth Gobrey, widow at Soham 2 October 1783 - this one is on familysearch.com. No image.

There's a burial of John Feast aged 78 at Stretham 17 April 1822.

A couple named William and Ann Feast baptised twins John and Ann at Stretham 20 April 1745
