COMPLETED Btinternet.com email on iPhone

My btinternet.com email address has stopped working on my iPhone. It still works on my iPad and on my PC and via webmail.

BT say there have been issues if the password has been changed - mine hasn't.

I've checked the settings - no joy. Re-entered the password in the relevant places. Deleted the account from Mail and re-added it. The issue remains that mail cannot connect to the btmail server.

Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it?

Is the iPhone and mail app up to date?

If they are then try a different Mail App.

Yep both are up to date - I think both Apple and BT are saying it's the other's fault! Thqnks for your reply...

Have just discovered there is a BT Email app and have managed to access my email through that.

I was just going to mention that.

I thought that they only had the MyBT app but they seem to have introduce others. I  wonder if the link with ee might be the cause of their extra apps 

PS -MyBt shows 949/50 Mbps to my hub - less to machines

Problem solved Mail working again - switched my VPN on and then off again and it started working again! Final post - just in case it helps anyone else.
