Help reading handwriting please
« on: Monday 20 November 23 03:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi, this is an extract from a 1869 Scottish Marriage Certificate. Trying to decipher the parents names.
Francisco Laville, Farmer and Maria Laville  M.S. ????
Francisco (father) was from Portugal, even though Laville does not appear to be a  Portugese name.
Any ideas most welcome. Thanks

I have tried searching for that name also and it does not appear to be a Portuguese name. It could also be a name that sounds like that. Thanks for commenting

Thanks Neale, I had completely forgotten that I had asked this question a long time ago. Was just picking up the threads again to see if anyone had any suggestions.
