What does R.O.Y.A.H mean?
« on: Monday 20 November 23 13:45 GMT (UK) »
I've attached a snip of my Uncles Service paper.  (Also the location 'St. Anne's?). I've searched/asked on WW2 Talk but can't find anything.

Can anyone help?  Thanks very much.

Thank you, do you know what ROYAH means by any chance?

ROYAH is a draft recognition code for a unit(s) or a formation of men being transported. These codes do not mean anything and as far as I know do not have a key - they changed all the time. Used a lot to indicate units being transported aboard ships but I am guessing could also be applied to shore use.
