There are at least a couple of Ancestry family trees for the children of Thomas and wife Annie Cosh:

www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/10160707/person/-686996981/facts  - this one has original registration images and photos included.

Don't know if you have a subs to Ancestry to be able to contact these tree owners. They may well have done their DNA to let you compare with yours helping you to be certain on the connection (although it is looking good  ;)).

Thank you for all the help and suggestions I received.

After a couple months of creating this tree on Ancestry, I have found multiple DNA matches through Thomas Scott Ferries that confirms that he is the right person.
Harrison/Sinclair - Kilsyth
Goldie - Edinburgh
MacDonald - Kirkintilloch
McGlinn/Paton/Gall/Hutton/Webster - Dundee
