John Pill and Joanna
« on: Tuesday 21 November 23 13:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I have Susan Pill baptised in 1820 in Gorran to John and Johanna Pill. I have her marriage to James Billing and their children.

I'm looking for her parents' marriage and siblings.

I've found these, but not sure about them:

John Pill and Johanna Kinsman m1811 Falmouth.

Children of John and Johanna/Joanna that I've found (not necessarily the same John and Johanna I suppose 🤔

Falmouth indep: Mary Ann 1813, Eliza 1815, John Snell 1817, Henry 1820

Mevagissey indep: Nicholas 1829, Emma 1833

Others, approx births, on censuses: Jacob 1829, Eliza 1831, John 1838

Any help linking them, or unlinking 🤪, with Susan appreciated.

Thanks

Cornwall FHS has the baptism of Susan Pill 25 June 1820 with parents John Pill and Joanna Philp. However they also have a John PIll marrying a Joanna Philp 19 March 1828 so either Susan was born before the marriage or the marriage year of 1828 is an error.

Added
Caution as there is another couple having children in Gorran around the same time. They are John Pill and Jane Robins who married in Gorran in 1827.
Smith Tiplady Boulton Branthwaite King Miller Woolfall Bretherton Archer and many more

Thank you.
The England select births and christenings had her baptism as John pill and Joanna Philp.
I'd foolishly assumed that was a transcription error. The 1828 marriage would fit with this.
Thank you again
