Kent County Asylum

Does anyone know if there are any records available for this Asylum and, if so, where I might access them please?
I have tried the Lunacy Patients Admission Registers on Ancestry and not found the person I am looking for.   
I have a digital copy of his death registration, which shows he died in the Kent County Asylum in 1894.

The records are at the Kent History and Library Centre at Maidstone. You need to email them and ask, as the records are not online.
