Marriage and death records of William Ross, Pipe Major to Queen Victoria

Help please - please could someone track down the marriage record from FreeBMD of William Ross and Jane Ann Smith In Chelsea March 1888
AND
William Ross’s death in Clewer, Berkshire in 1891.

Also any newspaper or other articles of William’s death would be fantastic (there may even be photos or drawings of the funeral).

Thank you mckha489 and Alan of Kaslo for getting the ball rolling, I’ll  follow up the leads.

Also thanks to CarolW for kindly tracking down his will, which is of interest. I duly filled in an application and paid £1.50 but turns out there is a new system provided by ‘HMCTS’ which sorry to say is not ideal..we’ve chatted on PM about it and it turns out others have had poor experiences as well - infuriating.

Just to say I’ve now been sent a copy of William Ross’s will from the site CarolW provided (thank you) which only took a few days, so a happy experience and actually very good value for money.

William Ross was a GGreat Uncle by marriage. Not sure if the will is of general interest but I am happy to give a link if I/someone can figure out how to do it.

Amongst other things he bequeathed his bagpipes to Queen Victoria for display at Balmoral Castle with a fallback if she didn’t want them!

The late Queen used to be woken up by a piper, wonder if the King has continued the tradition?
