Looking for 3 brothers William, Alexander & Robert Clark all born Glasgow

Looking for 3 Great grand Uncles

William Clark born 1859 High Church, Glasgow
Alexander Clark born 1870 High Church, Glasgow
Robert Clark born 1879 Camlachie, Glasgow

Parents were : Robert Clark 1834-1889 Mary McCormick 1834-1884
Siblings: Elizabeth Auld Clark 1860-1927
              Jane Clark 1862 - ?
              John Clark 1865-1937
              Robert Clark 1867-1869
              Mary Ann Anderson Clark 1873-1958

The 3 brother disappear after 1881 and unable to find marriages or deaths.
Alexander possibly was a solder in 1890’s??

Any help would be very much appreciated! Many thanks in advance

It might be worth looking for all in any military records.  I think during the time you cannot locate these men we were fighting the Boar War. 

Some of these soldiers did stay behind in South Africa to live. (I have one in my family that did just that).

There is a William Clark born 1860 Glasgow on the English 1911 - have you already ruled him out?

There is a William Clark born 1860 Glasgow on the English 1911 - have you already ruled him out?

If Robert was born 1879 he should be on the 1891 as he was only 12yrs old.  Was he with relatives as both parents deceased?  If he's not - have you looked for a death for him?

The 1891 has an entry for Robert & he's living with brothers Alexander & John & sister Margaret?

Your post says you can't find them after 1881?

Scottish 1901 has an Alexander Clark aged 31 b Glasgow living in Stirling as a boarder

This is has been my thinking….i do have a military record for an Alexander but can’t prove it’s him as the records are quite vague with facts, it feels right, he leaves the military 1905 after 12 years served in East Indies and then nothing  :'(
