Louisa Mary Jenman b.1855 Portsea marriage or death
« on: Saturday 25 November 23 15:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi Rootschat community,
I'd like for someone to please have a look to see if they can find any marriage or death records for Louisa Mary Jenman, born in 1855 on Portsea Island in Portsmouth. She was the daughter of George William Jenman (1831-1890) and Emmeline Ball (1830-1907), and sister to George William Jenman (1856-1911), Benjamin George Green Jenman (1859-1911) and Emmeline Grace Jenman (1860-1895). I'm having trouble with tracing Louisa after the 1861 census record in which she appears.
Thanks a lot,
Francis  :D

there's a newspaper article in 1878 about a breach of promise case in Bristol Assizes brought byLouisa Jenman aged 22 of Southsea (living there with uncles & aunt) against a Mr Wheeler. It mentions she had been working as a governess near Abergavenny.

It mentions she had been working as a governess near Abergavenny.

That might lead to this one in 1881 Catherington Hants who is a governess (unemployed sch)

I think Louisa Green was Louisa Ball and you mentioned Emmeline was a Ball so that would tie in with being the right Louisa Jenman.
