Help with location of photograph, please

Hi
I'm trying to learn where the attached photograph of air-bombers was taken, any help appreciated.
anything and everything to do with the village of Brithdir, near New Tredegar in Gwent.

Your photograph was only 98.6 KB and scanned at 120 dpi. Can you scan it in full colour and at 300 dpi so that the photo is sharper and larger (keeping your saved image just under 500 KB)?

I posted the image with the hope someone would recognise a relative and know details of where it was taken.  After completing his training my person of interest was posted to No 44 Squadron.  Some of his training was conducted in S A (Empire Aircrew Training Scheme).   I have applied for his service records, but can take some months before I hear anything, so in the meantime, I have downloaded the squadron ORBs, and the details of the missions he flew.
