Thank you everyone. I think that the Emma Ratcliffe who married aged 19 in 1834 is definitely my Amelia.  Re the 1851 census where I located Amelia with Joseph - Richards is Richardson. Joseph Richardson died in Loughborough in 1851 ( Nov 7th Leicestershire Journal) and other local papers give the details. The funeral was at St George’s Church I hope the Church records would confirm that. 
Amelia then married James Wetherell 2nd Dec 1852 but I have found a record that Amelia Wetherell died in December 1857 in Loughborough and then James Wetherell married a Mary Anne Baum on the 29th July 1858 at All Saints Loughborough.
