As far as I know it will not be deleted but you will  not be able to add to it if you exceed their free storage size. You could always create a gedcom file before you cancel and import it to familysearch which is free?

I can confirm, having let my subscription expire, that your tree will remain intact, even if it is larger than the tree size allowed for non-paid subscribers. But as cornishwalker says, you won't be able to add to it.

You may receive several emails offering subscriptions at a slight discount. After ignoring them for over 6 months, MH offered me their top-tier subscription for less than the price of the basic version, so I am currently a member again for now ;)

Edit: your post just reminded me to cancel my renewal, and on doing so I was immediately offered a 60% discount on the next renewal, the discounted price being £91.60 (down from £229). But by ignoring their emails as above, I paid £57 for the same subscription last year.

I am currently a member but I had it reduced to £150 by a phone call, they called me and I threatened to delete my tree, this seemed to make them change their offer. I also got free backup for a year which is £50 and gives you a file full of your photos.
Note the back up only seems to work with family tree builder and to export your tree to another site you need to get a gedcom file.
hope this helps

Suggest you download a Gedcom file before expiry of the subscription.

I pay Ancestry £89.99 for Worldwide, thanks to the RC code thread.

IMO it is far better value than My Heritage who I am also with but their subscription will not be renewed, where I do get regular and good DNA matches with Ancestry the new MH DNA matches are all low cM and low in quantity.
