They had 7 children the first 4 in Frithelstock 1761-1773 the last three in Alwington1774-1778

16 May 1744, Mary the daughter of John Balson and Joane his wife

Note - your opening post has marriage 6 April 1750. Should this read 6 Apr 1760?

Good Afternoon Trees
Sorry to hear about the eyes.
Have you noticed on Mary's marriage one of the witnesses is Edmund Balson.
It looks like the Balsons in Frithelstock are basically him and his children and grandchildren .He is the witness at most of the marriages 1760-1784.

Edmund 1717 -9 Nov 1791 and his wife Joan 1716- 2.7.1782  (Edmond bapt 16.3.1718 s of Edmond)

Children

Elizabeth born  11 Dec 1743 (Balsdon) married George Saunders 4.4.1770 husbandman buried 21.1.1829
Edmund 20 Nov 1746(Balsdon) -17 Jan 1816 married Katherine Roberts 29.3.1784
Grace bapt 26.2.1748 married Christopher Moarse blacksmith 17.4.1770
Joanna bapt 22.9.1751 married 8.6.1775 Ambrose Galsworthy buried 22.1.1838
Faith  bc 1754 married William Johns 17.1.1780 buried 10.2.1851
Ann bapt 12.5.1754
Sarah 24.10.1756 married William Mullis 26.4.1778 buried 9.12.1818

Difficult to see how she would not be related somehow ,either as his sister or daughter.Probably his daughter. Marriage for grandparents possibly at Langtree Edmund and Mary Spadden 14.6.1709 so named after Granny?
