I agree a paper hanger is a person hanging wallpaper

I think the sister in law’s signature could be Elliner Brereton
an Eleanor Agass married George Brereton in 1873. He was a winecooper when they married, but later he too is a painter/decorator

The only hitch with that is when she signed at marriage she did spell her name Eleanor not Elliner..but that death cert is a GRO record isn’t it, so written out by someone else.

No.  Changed my mind.

It is Brewster.

Possible marriage (four on page but). Heather Brewster m George Mullinger 1875 St Pancras

They are in St Pancras 1881 & 1891
Both born Boston Lincs.

INterestingly George married to Esther was a Hammer man in 1881, ie in the forging/iron works trade.

Links in with the iron moulder occupation on the marriage cert snippet?

Not sure if this will help with anything - but noticed that in another record for 1921, living at 13 Foley Place is also Lilian Pauline Simmons (I believe nee Cutter) and Thomas Robert Simmons. Going forward from 1921 it is Thomas Robert living there, and I believe Alfred and Mary move elsewhere, I believe 29 Western Road in Norwood in 1922-1927. If this is them, then I think there is a potential sister there for Alfred called Florence Annie, or Annie Florence?

Not sure on the relation that Thomas (or Lilian) are to either Alfred or Mary yet (if any).
