Can anyone tell me what these occupations are?

One looks like Card Winder, but the other looks like Something Carrier??
Not sure that the jobs are

This first one looks like Cordwinder and not so sure about the other Carman Carrier.Or Commision ?

I thought perhaps Cordwainer, the old term for a qualified Boot Maker.
The term was definitely still in use in 1861
What region are we in ?

The first one is Cardwinder - something to do with textile manufacturing I believe.

The second one is Common Carrier.
