Are you sure her maiden name was Brooke?

There is an 1811 marriage in Yapton for a George Misslebrook & Philly Ruff.  The bride signed as Philly Ruff

Baptism of daughter Charlotte in 1818 refers to her as Philly as does the 1822 baptism of daughter Ruth.  Also son William in 1813

Thank you Carol
I'll search down the Ruff line and see if I can find anything, the information came from my G, Grandmother and she might have been confused with the Mislebrook / Brooke and did not know the real surname.
I di  thenk with a name like Philly / Philidelphia it would be an easy find

I may have cracked it, I believe a Philly / Phillis Brooks married a James Ruff and thats where the Philli Ruff got her name.
This is a difficult part of my tree to trace if anyone has any more information It seems to e around Yapton Sussex

possible baptism in Binsted 10 Aug 1788 Philly daughter of ------- Brooks (just dashes)
Burial of Philly in Pagham 8 March 1826 gives her age as 36 - transcribed on Ancestry as Phylle Mipelbrooks, long S causing problems.

marriage in Yapton 1 March 1808 James Ruff & Philly Brooks
1811 marriage for Philly doesn't say spinster or widow, just otp, George was of Ford.

Possible burial in Climping 4 April 1809 James Ruff from Ford
