William Guy Culverhouse planter Trinidad.
« on: Saturday 02 December 23 08:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, looking for the ancestors of William Guy Culverhouse 1884-1949 Trinidad a planter. I have his wife Irene Dean Reece but no marriage and the full history of 3 of his children, Harold Guy, Percival (Percy) Hagar and Dorothy but believe there is another son William (Billy).
I have tried many sites to break down this wall so any help will be greatly appreciated, my opinion he was descended from English stock but possibly via USA. Thanks, all leads will be followed up. Regards, Pete.

Constance Culverhouse (presumably Gladys Constance, presumably a sister of WG) is in the 1901 census at Christs Hospital school in Hertford. Aged 14, born Trinidad.

Thanks Shaun, loads to work on there, will update later. Already got George and Ann marriage in Orlestone and 3 of their children but didn't have George Hagar at all, that is the big clue, thanks again.
Update Gladys Constance died at or shortly after birth of son Percy Culverhouse Brunt, October/November 1912 age 24.
This has been one very difficult Culverhouse family to trace, their ancestors go back to Richard Culverhouse and Ann Guy in the 1750's and include the Dutch artist Johann Mengels Culverhouse.

Annie Culverhouse was the principal of William Gibbs School. Presumably she was William Guy Culverhouse's aunt. She died in 1912. It might be worth getting a copy of her Will.
