Another apology, truly I am not going doolally.

The name on the clock face is T. Owen of Llanfordurn and underneath there are paintings of fields in each corner.  The previous Owner claimed it was about 1795.
Thanks for any assistance, very much appreciated.

Several Llanfordurn searches have no results.

The only clues might be the clock mechanism and the case itself?

A Specialist Clock Repairer who has been repairing clocks all their life might shed some feelings about the mechanism and/or:-
past repairs,
perhaps on parts replaced,
wear and tear,
possibly suggestion/s of a country/countries, possibly an age period?

Inspection will likely cost money or you can just enjoy the clock.

clancam, is the clock's face brass or silvered? Brass is usually early, while silver became fashionable from the early 19th century.

Adding:  Ancestry have a Thomas Owen, born about 1770, buried at Alberbury in 1823. Alberbury is about 9 miles from Shrewsbury which is not far from Oswestry.
