Nothing has changed for me.  Apparently it can be disabled in account settings, see Ancestry link below.

I am set up disabled but it is still asking me for a sign in :(

The code sent via email does not work, tried 3 times and it was the same number.

As an alternative to text/email 2-stage verification you can link your Ancestry account to your Google account or Apple ID and log in that way to avoid the hassle.

Probably worth reminding that having a backup to your online tree is good practice.

I am positive that I opted out and I received an email advising me of that. After reading this post I went and checked and it's enabled.

In the last couple of days when I sign in it says it's sending me an email with a code. I see the email flag and I go look and no email appears. I wait and wait.  When I go back to the sign in the code has appeared. Maybe it's because I use Safari and I have a fingerprint sign in??? I'm not going to change anything. It's working so I'll just leave it alone  ::) :D

I'm sure that I was asked to login yesterday. I did. I got in with no problems.  I assume that disabling worked.
