I need some help please to find records for Mary Ann Hankins (née Wright) and her son, Edward Thomas Hankins from Bristol. I have records for them up to 1871, then nothing.
What I have so far:
1813 - Mary Anne Wright born to parents Thomas and Mary Wright in parish of St Philip & Jacob, Bristol. Siblings Caroline Matilda (b.1809), Eliza Anne (b.1807), Edwin (b.1811), Thomas (b.1803) and possibly also Henry (b.1806). Her father Thomas was a cabinet maker.
1838 - Married Thos Chandler in Bristol
1841 – Resident at New St, St Phil. & Jacob, Bristol with husband Thos Chandler and son Henry.
1841 – Husband Thos. Chandler died
1845 – Remarried to James Hankins in 1845 in Bristol.
1851 – Resident at New St, St Phil. & Jacob, Bristol with husband James, son Henry Chandler and daughter Mary Ann Hankins
1861 – Resident at New St, St Phil. & Jacob, Bristol with husband James, daughters Mary Ann Hankins and Emma Hankins, sons George Albert Hankins and Edward Thomas Hankins.
1865 – Husband James Hankins died
1871 – Resident at New St, St Phil. & Jacob, Bristol with son Edward Thomas Hankins. Mary described as a pauper

I looked to see if Mary Ann was living with family in 1881, but there is no mention of her in any census I can find for the following family members, although I have been unable to find 1881 censuses for several of them:
Children:
• Son George was living with his family in Cardiff.
• Daughter Mary Ann Hankins married Richard Albert Remmington and was living in Stepney, London.
• Daughter Emma – possibly living as a female servant in Grosvenor Square, London in 1881, but not confirmed. In 1901 a visitor with her niece, Mary Ann Gausden (née Remmington) in Newington, London. In 1911 she’s living alone in Chelsea it seems, and she dies in 1928 in Harlesden (corresponding probate goes to her niece Mary Ann Gausden).
• Son Edward Thomas, b. 1858, with Mary Ann on the 1871 census, then nothing.
Grandchildren:
via son George: Younger children all with George and his wife in 1881
via daughter Mary Ann Remmington (née Hankins): all her children still in the family home in 1881
via daughter Emma Hankins b.1852: No children, never married
via son Edward Thomas Hankins b.1858: cannot find him in the records after 1871
son Thomas Chandler and daughter Harriet Chandler: N/A – both died in infancy
via son Henry Chandler
• Edward John Chandler, b.1862, a boarder in Cardiff in 1881
• Henry James Chandler, b.1861 – died in infancy
• Mary Rosina Chandler, b.1865 – age 16 in 1881 but cannot find the census
• … other Chandler grandchildren too young to be relevant here
Siblings
• Sister Caroline married Richard William Remmington (the father of Richard Albert Remmington who married Mary Ann Hankins, above). They lived in Bromley / Mile End in London. Caroline died in Dec 1881. I cannot find a census for them for 1881, but in 1877 Richard Remmington is on the electoral roll at 33 Guildford St, Bromley St Leonard, Poplar, very close to their address at Sussex Street in 1871.
• Brother Edwin was transported to Tasmania in 1841 and died out there in 1880.
• Brother Henry b1806 – no trace so far
• Brother Thomas b1803 – no trace so far
• Sister Eliza b1809 – living with parents Thomas and Mary in Bethnal Green, London, in 1841. In 1851 possibly living in household of James Damon in Fenton Street, St George in the East, London, also in 1861 and 1871. James Damon (who was married during this time but separated) died in 1874 and in 1881 there is an Eliza Daymon visiting William Curner in Deptford. I cannot find her after that. (There is an Eliza Wright who died in Bristol in 1895 but that’s not the correct person.)

NB. “Hankins” is often mis-transcribed as “Hawkins”

I'd be grateful for any help with this.
