Presbyterian Meeting Houses In Londonderry
« on: Saturday 09 December 23 17:14 GMT (UK) »
I've noticed on some of the marriage records the couples were married at a Presbyterian Meeting house. Are there any records for these meeting houses ? Did these meeting houses predate some of the Presbyterian Churches?

Yes, these were the original names for lots of the Presbyterian churches.

For Presbyterians, Meeting House is just an alternative term for church. (Methodists also sometimes refer to Meeting Houses too).

The PRONI catalogue lists all the Presbyterian records known to exist for Co. Londonderry (and the rest of Ulster), parish by parish.
