John (Charles?) Walker
« on: Saturday 09 December 23 21:21 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone could help me find John's birth/death records.
I have had his baptism attached to his profile but cannot seem to access the record anymore so was wondering if someone could do that for me so I know it's correct - it should be 30th Jan 1907 in Deal, parents Alfred and Letitia. I know he died before 1911 but cannot find his death record, but it's possible he's the John Walker that was born 1907 and died 1908.
On his fathers military records it says that ''John Charles Walker'' was born 1914 in Thanet, however this is so long after the baptism, and the name Charles was not included on the baptism I don't think. Unsure if this information is just incorrect because Alfred and Letitia had split up by 1911 and were having children with other people, so this John Charles Walker wouldn't be another separate child.
His mothers maiden name is Pitcher but cannot find his birth record either. I'd like to order his birth/death record but can't seem to find it to buy on the general register office website  :-\
Thank you for any help in advance!

Yes, those details are correct.
Just John.  Birth date noted in margin of 2nd January 1907
Baptism at St George, Deal

Having trouble finding a birth registration that looks right.
What was Letitia’s maiden name?  Was he perhaps actually born 2nd January 1906?

Added… maiden name was PITCHER
Still cannot see a birth registration for John 2nd Jan 1907

Thank you, it seems like John Walker was Alfred and Letitia's son that died young, and then Alfred and Naomi Tappenden had CHARLES John Walker in 1914.
Looks like Alfred just missed out John and his brother Frank on military records for some reason...
Thanks again.

They were both deceased so perhaps that was the reason.
