what we know hugh hughes was born around 1818,he gives his place of birth in a different place on every census. probably around leeswood.but we know he married in the parish church of hope in 1841.ann was born about 1820 in the hope area. his wife was our ann daughter of robert pierce location ferm. which we now know as fferm. the old post is mine. and at this time i am looking for the marriage of anns father robert. thank you for your incoming posts. brian

Farm is most probably Fferm near Pontbleiddyn village. See map https://maps.nls.uk/view/102342381.
Its at the top of the map, to the right of Leeswood.

I know where this is, surprising that I can't find it recorded on the tithe maps.
I doubt that it would help as the couple were probably servants.

1841 census , I have an idea that it's missing for some areas in Flintshire.

thank you.yes i have seen that the 1841 census for hope/mold is missing. any other way at finding that record. it breakthrough though to think they were servants there. any other info most welcome. never thought to look for the tithe records. but as you say. if they lived inside.thanks brian

On the tithe maps Fferm isn't named but the exact location has Charles Phillips as the occupier.

He isn't showing in 1841 but is there at Fferm in 1851.As Chas, If you use these details you can find them.
Name Charles Phillips Age14b abt 1837 b Hope
Father's Name Chas Phillips xx
Mother's Name Sarah
