ps before I give link to new week ... That is some gaping hole to appear KG, water damage from a missing roof tile or something perhaps, as you say luckily not above the bed !

No roof! I'm in a ground floor flat.
Flat above had window replaced, and the plaster was already suspicious; I had reported it a few years ago.
My problem was above my window.
