These two, my 5x-great-uncles, were Irish immigrants from Cork who in 1851 were staying with their sister Ellen's family the Mullinses in St. Luke's. The surname could possibly be Howe on some documents. I have tried in vain to find baptisms, and I can't seem to find whether Charles or John stayed in London or even survived teenagehood to marry, given the era. If a marriage certificate exists, it would make finding the siblings' father easier.

The births of sister Ellen Mullins children would suggest her maiden name was Howes.

The sister
Ellen Howes married Dennis Mullins 6 September 1835 St George the Martyr Southwark Surrey.
Witness Jeremiah Mullins, Catherine Mullins.

Tried to find them in 1841 census in case her brothers were with her not found as yet.

The daughter of Dennis (lat: Dionysius) Mullins and Ellen Howe - one of the sponsors is a Howe (could be married or maiden name)

Catholic Baptism at St Mary Moorfields, Middlesex
Catharina Mullins, b 16 January, baptised 19 January 1840
Daughter of Dioniyii & Ellene (olim Howe)
Sponsors & ----, Laurentius Mahoney, Katharina Howe

There were others baptised (Jeremiah 1836, John 1844, Ellen 1849) at same Church - but Catherine  is the one with a Howe  sponsor

Cheers

At Moorfields St Mary R.C. church have you looked at any Howe/House baptisms, plus or minus 20 years.

Or if Dennis Mullins or Ellen Mullins were named as god parents
