Maud Lois or Louisa Martin born 25 Jun 1881 St Pancras, London

Maud was a daughter of John Craig Martin and Sarah nee Colman. She married George Thomas Whittle Q2 1903 at Ormskirk, Lancashire. He was born Q4 1881 in Ormskirk. They arrived at Sydney, NSW 17 Nov 1911 on ship Moravian. George married Robina Peterkin in 1922 at Paddington. I presume that Maud died or was divorced from George but I can find no records for her from her arrival onwards. Was divorce possible in those days?

Thank you cupoflife. Do you know anything of John Atkinson? Seems odd that Maud deserted George but didn't marry immediately afterwards unless she didn't go to another man?
